Floshot Sol. 20

Florfenicol is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic that is effective against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria isolated from domestic animals. Florfenicol a fluorinated derivative of chloramphenicol acts by inhibiting protein synthesis at the ribosomal level and producing bacteriostatic action against bacteria.

Florfenicol does not carry the risk of inducing human aplastic anaemia that is associated with the use of chloramphenicol and also has activity against some chloramphenicol-resistant strains of bacteria.

COMPOSITION: (Each 1liter contains)
Florfenicol 200 g
Excipient q.s

INDICATION:
Prevention and treatment of Digestive, Respiratory and Urinary Tract infections, which one caused by Florfenicol sensitive bacteria such as Salmonella spp, E. Coli, Clostridium spp, Haemophilus spp, Pasteurella spp, Staphylococcus spp, Actinobacillus spp, Proteus spp and some other microorganisms.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
20 – 30 mg Florfenicol per kg of body weight, i.e. 10 – 15 ml of FLOSHOT sol. 20 per 100 kg body weight for 3-5 days
Or
0.5 – 1 ml FLOSHOT sol. 20 per liter of drinking water for 3-5 days

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to Florfenicol.

WITHDRAWAL:
5 days
